- How to charge the N1 Security Cam?
- Please note that all N1 cameras are shipped from the factory with the battery charged to approximately 40%-50%. For better use, please charge the camera preferably for 10 hours before use.
- N1 will also send a low-battery notification to your smartphone via the app when the camera needs to be recharged.
- N1 has a standard 16W solar panel that requires at least two hours of direct sunlight per day to keep the camera constantly charged, and you would never have to manually recharge the camera!
Note: The location of the camera will affect the efficiency of the N1n camera’s solar charging. It is highly recommended that the installation guidelines be referred to in the user manual.
- Please try to use the USB cable in the package and connect to a 5V/2A charger. The N1 camera’s LED will be solid yellow when the battery is being charged(as the below picture), and the app will show the charging status.
- Please keep the ordinary temperature is between 0℃(32℉) - 45℃(113℉) during charging.
- Please use another cable to charge the camera and put it in the wall socket If the camera cannot be charged

- How long does a fully charged N1 Security Cam?
- A fully charged N1 can last about 6 days without solar panel. Additionally, the N1 has a solar panel, which can automatically recharge the battery if the camera receives at least 3-4 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Normal temperature: 68°F / 20°C
- 20 motion detections per day and cameras recorded for 15 seconds each time a motion was detected.
- Usage time includes AOV standby power consumption.
Note: Battery life may vary on the number of times motion is detected, video recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.

It’s important to check if the power adapter and charging cable are faulty and to ensure there are no issues with the camera’s charging interface.
4. Why does my camera consume power so quick?
The power consumption depends on the number of times the camera works. The more the camera works, the faster the power is consumed. If your camera battery drains very fast, please check if your camera has triggered too many times.
It is recommended to place the camera in stable working conditions with a smooth network connection.
5. How to improve camera battery life?
- Avoid installing the camera on the roadside or in crowded scenes.
- Put the solar panel towards to the sunlight
- Cold weather will reduce battery life
- Increase the interval between AOV recordings.
6. Why is the battery not durable when connected to a solar panel?
- The charging speed of solar panels is slower than cable charging. If the camera alarms too many times, the power consumption of the camera will be much greater than the charging capacity of the solar panel, and the battery power will be consumed quickly.
- Check if the solar panel is working properly as follows:
- Ensure that the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight, it is recommended to install the panel in an open environment to ensure that it can receive at least 4 hours of sunlight per day.
7. Can I replace the battery myself?
- It's not suggested to replace the battery by yourself.
