Please follow these steps to restore your connection.
Phase 1: Basic Physical & Power Check
- Verify Power Status:
- If the indicator lights are off, the device may have run out of power or needs a reset.
- Low Battery: Check the last recorded battery level in the app. If it was below 20%, please charge the camera indoors using a 5V/2A adapter for 10 hours.
- Hardware Failure: If there is no light response at all after charging, please contact customer service for advice.
Confirm Working Mode:
- Open the rubber cover and ensure the toggle switch is set to the "4G" position.
- Confirm the mode indicator light is Blue (Yellow indicates WiFi mode).
Perform a Reset:
- If the device is unresponsive, press and hold the Reset button for 3 to 10 seconds to reboot the system.
Phase 2: Interpreting Indicator Lights
The status indicator colors provide immediate clues to the connection issue:
- Blue Light: The device is successfully in 4G mode.
- Red Light Blinking Fast: The SIM card is not detected. Please reinsert the SIM card.
- Red Light Flashing at Intervals: Your data plan has been used up or has expired
Phase 3: Deep Troubleshooting & Optimization
Data & Plan Verification:
Check your data balance and plan expiration date in the app under "4G Recharge"
- Optimize Network Signal:
Check the signal strength in the app's "About Device" section. If the signal quality is below 60%, the device will frequently go offline.
- Antenna Direction: Ensure the antenna is pointed vertically upward.
- Environmental Obstacles: Check for physical obstructions (like buildings). Clear any blockages and restart the camera to allow it to search for a signal again.
- Resolve Account Conflicts:
- Important: An account can only be logged into one mobile device at a time. Simultaneous logins on multiple phones or tablets will cause connection conflicts and result in the device appearing offline
Phase 4: Contacting Technical Support
If the device remains offline after completing these steps, please contact support at cs@dragontouch.com with the following information for an engineering review:
- The device NID (found in "About Device" or on the device label).
- The SIM card ICCID number.
- A short video showing the current status of the indicator lights and any voice prompts the camera is making.
