When using a SIM card, it says "Your package will expire in 7 days".
- When you want to use the SIM card to view the record, but it shows “Your package will expire in 7 days" like the screenshot below:
The free retention we offer is 7 days/100MB.
- You could click on the black area to view the video. This means you are using free data.
- If you are unable to confirm the SIM card situation and the app prompts this, you can provide us with your camera NID and we can have our technicians to help you confirm your data usage.
When I use the SIM Card, but it says it's already expired
It shows "your package has expired" like the screenshot below:
- Understand the dual limits of your data planYour data plan is restricted not only by time, but by both data allowance (e.g., 100M) and valid period (e.g., 7 days).Rule: The plan will expire automatically whichever limit is reached first.Example: If you use up 100MB of data within 15 minutes, the plan will show “Expired” even if the 7‑day period has not ended.
- When free data is used out, you need to recharge it for use.
- If you are unable to confirm whether you have previously used a SIM card, but the app prompts that it has expired, you can provide us with the NID to confirm your data usage.
High‑data usage scenarios that drain data quickly
Based on user data analysis, the following actions consume 4G data extremely fast:
a) Continuous Live View: Watching real‑time monitoring feeds uses a lot of data. In 4G mode, watching continuously for about 15 minutes uses roughly 100MB of data.
b) Frequent motion detection alerts: If motion sensitivity is too high, even slight movements such as wind or passing cars will trigger many alerts. Each alert with an image uses data.
c) Continuous playback of SD card recordings also consumes data steadily.
Tips to Save Your Data
a) Adjust motion detection sensitivity: Lower the sensitivity in the app settings to avoid unnecessary recordings caused by moving leaves or passing vehicles.
b) Try not to point the security camera at areas with heavy foot traffic.
c) Reduce unnecessary live viewing and APP playback:
Only view the live feed and playback recordings when necessary. If you need to watch SD card recordings for an extended period, we recommend inserting the SD card into a computer via a card reader to view the video files.
