I. Black Screen Issue
Check Power Connection: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the wall outlet and the DC port on the back of the frame. Verify if the black screen is caused by an interruption in the power supply.
Force Hardware Restart: While the frame is connected to power, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds without releasing it. This forces the system to re-initialize the display driver and attempts to wake the screen from a black-screen state caused by a logic deadlock.
Power Cycle: Unplug the power cable from both ends, let the frame sit for 5 minutes, and then reconnect it. Expected result: Dissipates residual internal charge and resets the motherboard's power logic.
Verify Sleep Mode Settings: If the screen turns off automatically after a few minutes of operation, go to Settings > General Settings > Sleep to check if scheduled shutdown or motion-sensing auto-off is enabled.
Expected result: Rules out normal automatic sleep triggered by software timer settings.
If your frame is Ourphoto system, please enter the settings page to set Sleep time: Tap Settings on the frame screen to enter the settings page, find "About", tap on it to locate "Build Number", then tap "Build Number" 8 times to enter another settings page, and then tap "Display" →"sleep" to set Sleep time to "Never".

II. Lines on Screen
Check for Physical Damage: Carefully inspect the frame's casing and screen for cracks, and verify if the device has recently been dropped or subjected to impact. Determine if the lines are the result of physical damage from a drop (physical damage is typically not covered under warranty).
Electrostatic Discharge: Unplug the power cord and let the device sit for 10 minutes before turning it back on. This helps eliminate interference lines caused by power surges or static electricity buildup.
Adjust Brightness: Go to **Settings** -> **Display** and try lowering the brightness. Sometimes, adjusting the brightness can alleviate flickering or faint lines caused by poor internal ribbon cable connections.
III. Half-Screen Abnormalities
Restart Test: Unplug the power cord, wait for one minute, and then plug it back in.
Rotation Verification: Ensure "Auto-rotate Screen" is enabled, then rotate the frame 90 degrees (switching between landscape and portrait) while displaying photos. If the abnormal area remains fixed at the same physical location on the screen (i.e., it does not rotate with the image), it indicates a hardware fault with the LCD or ribbon cable; otherwise, it is a software issue.
IV. Black Spots / Discoloration
Clean Screen Surface: Gently wipe the screen with the included lens cloth to check for external dirt or fingerprints, thereby ruling out display issues caused by external factors.
Observation Period: For small spots or "etching marks" caused by physical pressure, try unplugging the device and leaving it powered off for two days. This allows the physical structure to reset without heat, helping to determine if minor indentations will disappear.
Pure Color Test: Try displaying a photo that is entirely white or a solid color. Check if the black spot remains fixed at the same pixel location to determine if it is a dead pixel.
